Account Loss Leaves N.Y.’s Yellow Card Without Largest Client
NEW YORK–The Mercedes-Benz Retailers group of Southern California is looking for a new agency after firing Yellow Card.
Gary Van Zandt, formerly the Mercedes dealer account chief in Yellow Card’s Los Angeles office, has a pivotal role in the review. Some sources describe him as a consultant to the client, others as the new director of the dealer group. He could not be reached for comment.
Van Zandt is eyeing a handful of agencies for the $6-10 million business: WongDoody, pitching with its Seattle and Santa Monica, Calif.,
