The California Department of Conservation is preparing to invite advertising and public relations agencies to pitch the ad account of its Division of Recycling. A $1.5 million campaign will be launched Sept. 1. The contract will include two possible one-year extensions.
The Sacramento-based department will send out requests for proposals June 30. Agencies will be asked to respond by Aug. 11, according to DOC representative Jeanne Winnick. Duties will include “outreach services to create awareness and support” of California’s beverage container recycling program, she said.
