Petsmart has tapped Publicis' Leo Burnett to handle its creative business, the shop confirmed last week. Creative had been in-house. The retailer spent about $40 million on ads last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus. Burnett in Chicago beat WPP's J. Walter Thompson in Chicago, Omnicom's DDB in San Francisco and Publicis in Dallas for the business. Select Resources International in Santa Monica, Calif., managed the review.
