LOS ANGELES BMW today said roster shop Crispin Porter + Bogusky would not compete in the review for the parent company’s creative assignment.

Karen Vonder Meulen, marketing and communications manager at BMW, confirmed that CP+B in Miami did not get the RFP, and would not be invited to participate because the company does not want to divert its attention from Mini. CP+B did not return calls seeking comment.

BMW sent requests for proposals for the creative portion of its $70-80 million account to a diverse group of agencies nationwide, according to sources.
