NEW YORK Google has signed a deal with BellSouth’s RealPages.com that will make the online directory publisher the first authorized reseller of keyword advertising across the search engine and its network of Web sites.

The relationship will enable Mountain View, Calif.-based Google to leverage BellSouth’s 1,900-person sales force to reach small and medium-size local businesses across the Southeast.

As a part of the multi-year agreement, BellSouth will sell Google’s AdWords program, which lets marketers create their own ads and bid on keywords to dictate where the ads are displayed on Google’s network of search and content Web sites.
