BBDO and DDB are the top agency winners at the 2010 Effie Awards recognizing advertising effectiveness. The Omnicom Group units tallied 11 wins each.

BBDO’s wins include honors for “Sparks” on behalf of Starbucks; “Veteran Support” for the Ad Council/Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, both from the agency’s New York office; and “Do You Know Your Number?” on behalf of ING, crafted by BBDO in Atlanta.

DDB’s winning campaigns include “Extra Snackdown” for Extra and “Real Pirates” for The Field Museum, both from its Chicago office; and “Double Dare” for Klondike, crafted by DDB in New York.

Marketers with the most wins include Frito-Lay, with a total of six Effies, and Unilever, with four trophies.
