Asher & Partners, the Los Angeles agency known for its in-your-face anti-tobacco ads for the state of California, has picked up yet another statewide anti-smoking account.
The Maine Bureau of Health’s Tobacco Prevention & Control Unit last week awarded its inaugural advertising account to Asher, which partnered with Creative Design & Marketing in Portland, Maine, and Arnold Communications in Boston. The agencies prevailed over two other Maine shops to win the 17-month assignment.
The budget is being negotiated, but both the state and CD&M president Bob Cott estimated spending in the $2-3 million range.
