SAN FRANCISCO Kathi Skow and Jon Anderson have launched anderson/skow, an integrated agency here with experience in traditional, direct and digital disciplines focused on measurable marketing results.

Skow will serve as creative director, with Anderson taking the title of president.

Most recently, Skow was global cd at Macromedia and Anderson was manager of direct marketing at PeopleSoft, both in San Francisco.

Their new agency launches with a staff of 15 and assignments from clients such as virtualization technology firm VMware, kids' clothing brand Abe Jones and Wells Fargo Treasury Management.

"We were lucky that our careers happened to take us where they did, including inside marketing departments. We were doing award-winning integrated campaigns long before it was a buzzword," said Anderson.

They started the agency after two years of working with clients as a contract team, where they learned just how much their unique combination of experience was in demand.

"No matter how small a project was with a client, they always added more once we got talking. Eventually, we just couldn't do it all ourselves," said Skow.
