NEW YORK AQKA has tapped Digitas chief operating officer Jim Rossman to serve as its president and COO, new roles at the independent shop.
Rossman (pictured) adds heft to the management ranks at San Francisco-based AKQA, which now has 750 employees. He will be based in New York, where AKQA has 70-plus employees, and report to AKQA CEO Tom Bedecarre. He begins work at AKQA in April.
AKQA has never had a chief operating officer. In addition to Bedecarre, its top leadership includes Ajaz Ahmed, the company’s London-based chairman, and chief financial officer Lester Feintuck, who joined the company last June.
