Dave Moore, co-chief creative officer at AFG&, is moving over to the client side as vp and chief brand officer at Ethan Allen.
Before joining the Interpublic agency, formerly known as Avrett Free Ginsberg in 2011, Moore spent 11 years at corporate sibling McCann Erickson. During that time he was associated with accounts that included AT&T, Sprint, Nestlé, Johnson & Johnson, Exxon Mobile, Motorola, Coca-Cola and Ethan Allen. He was most recently an executive creative director in New York. In addition to working at McCann’s flagship on two separate occasions, Moore is also a former chief creative officer at the agency’s Detroit operations where he worked on General Motors, producing work like Buick’s “Tiger Trap” with Tiger Woods and the “Pure Michigan” tourism campaign.
Moore takes on a newly-created, expanded role at the Danbury, Conn.-based furnishings and design company. Previously, Vince Nigro worked as the creative director for in-house advertising.
Moore was reunited with Ethan Allen recently at AFG& when the retailer assigned the agency a repositioning project. “I’m delighted to have Dave join our team full-time,” Farooq Kathwari, Ethan Allen’s CEO and president, said about Moore's move.
At the end of 2011, Moore confirmed he joined AFG& after informally working there since the start of the year and his leaving McCann N.Y. He was instrumental in helping AFG& revamp its structure and change its name. AFG& founder and chairman Frank Ginsberg said of Moore’s new career change: “I am very proud that Dave has finally found his true passion.”
