When you think of Switzerland, you probably think of three things: mountains, neutrality and Roger Federer. Of those three, the mountains are the only real tourist draw. But if you're not in the mood for a bucolic getaway, what else is there? This new Switzerland Tourism spot from Spillmann/Felser/Leo Burnett in Zurich reminds potential visitors that the nation does actually have cities, with actual shopping malls (where they sell actual perfume and lingerie), as well as art museums, fine dining, gambling, dodgy swimming spots, tattoo parlors and hopping nightclubs. All of this rampant cosmopolitan-ness is experienced firsthand in the commercial by two farmers from the countryside, who by the end are exhausted by all their galavanting and slowly chug their tractor back to sheep-ville. But the message is clear: You can enjoy a great Swiss vacation without hearing a single yodel. In a nice touch, the agency says the two men in the clip are actual farmers from the Swiss mountains. Must have been a great shoot for them.
