Santa Rosa, Calif.-based Genus Group added Ross Hospital of Kentfield, a full-service psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment center in Marin County.
As a result of its acquisition of Marketing Communications Resources/Campbell, The Stephenz Group/San Jose picked up GE Nuclear Energy. The acquisition is expected to bring revenues to $24 million for 1993, according to the agency.
Darien & Kilburg/San Jose was named advertising agency of record for two software publishers – EarthQuest Inc. in Palo Alto and Software Holdings, Plantation, Fla.
The State of New Mexico’s Economic Development Department, Santa Fe, reappointed Strascina & Partners as the department’s advertising agency for the next two years.

Spear/Hall & Associates was contracted to handle marketing services for Americorp Financial and Galey & Kemmerly Homes. Americorp is a full service mortgage broker in Mission Valley. G&K, based in La Costa, is a residential development firm currently developing Laguna Village in Carlsbad’s downtown village district. The agency also reached agreements to handle marketing services for Pizza Nova, a local restaurant chain, and Angel Studios, a Carlsbad-based company that specializes in computer animation.
Taylor Made Golf Co. selected Capener, Matthews & Walcher for a national pr and publicity campaign to include trade and consumer publicity, special events and trade show assignments.
MacCracken & Co. was hired to handle marketing, media relations, direct mail, special events, advertising and collateral for The Ayres Group, a service company for attorneys.
