The New York State Lottery last week sent requests for proposals to eight New York agencies about its $50-60 million account, confirmed Matt Mansfield, the lottery’s director of advertising and promotion.
Mansfield declined to identify the shops, but sources named incumbent DDB Needham, Grey Advertising, McCann-Erickson and Partners & Shevack as being on the client’s list.
The Schenectady, N.Y.-based client sent rfp’s to qualifying shops that completed a questionnaire following the start of the review in February [Adweek, March 2].
