DALLAS The approaching departure of 7-Eleven North America’s chief marketing officer, Russ Klein, leaves the convenience chain seeking a top marketer for the second time in less than a year.

A client representative said a search will begin soon for Klein’s replacement.

Klein, who joined the Dallas-based chain last September, leaves the company May 30 for Miami-based Burger King. He is expected to take the chief marketing officer post.

Klein joined 7-Eleven one month after his predecessor, Bob Merz, left for undisclosed reasons.
