3Com Taps Mullen for Global Marketing

BOSTON Interpublic Group’s Mullen said it has been hired by networking software provider 3Com Corp. for global marketing chores.

Mullen’s duties include crafting print and online ads, as well as Web site development, collateral materials and design. The shop in Wenham, Mass., will also handle media planning and buying duties.

The budget was not disclosed. In recent years, the client in Marlboro, Mass., has spent about $1-2 million annually on ads, per TNS Media Intelligence, but it has not launched a major image campaign in the past few years.
