The bank, which would say only that the estimated $20-25-million review is part of its ‘ongoing efforts to review services,’ has been at Campbell and Wagman here for the past seven years.
Co-principal Craig Campbell said the agency was invited to pitch in the upcoming review but had not yet determined whether it would. If CW does not retain the business, Campbell said the shop would likely shutter its doors. The two partners were Foote, Cone & Belding employees when that agency resigned First Interstate due to a conflict with Citicorp, which was a client of Leber Katz when it was acquired by FCB. They opened the shop at the invitation of bank executives.
CW, which will stay on the account through the end of the year, also handles Foster’s Freeze, the Italian Trade Commission and the L.A. Convention and Visitors Bureau.
