Screen Shot 2014-07-11 at 7.55.13 AMThe fall TV season has officially begun with yesterday’s Emmy nominations announcement. While social media doesn’t determine the winners of the Emmys, it definitely tells the media and the world what influencers think should win. Fizziology provided Lost Remote with details on which shows that were nominated were mentioned the most on Twitter in the aftermath of the announcement. Here’s the analysis and details.

  • It’s interesting how Orange is the New Black Dwarfed other more traditional comedies in the category in terms of social volume – especially since it’s more of a “dramedy.”
  • In fact, 17% of the conversation came from people saying it’s not a comedy or asking how it fits into the category.
  • It’s also interesting to note that the dramas have overall much higher social volume numbers – indicative of their wildly vocal fanbases.
