Narcos’ season 2 is premiering Sept. 2 and Netflix just released and exclusive sneak peak on Facebook Live. But instead of just making it all about exclusive teasers, the marketing team it one step further. The premise of the livestream is that first 11 minutes of season 2 of the show has been stolen from Pablo by DEA agents and released on Facebook.
It wasn’t easy to make it work. It was a global livestream, so Netflix had to upload videos to 14 countries, in 10 languages, including subtitles on Facebook Live, using Telecope’s Live Studio platform.
Anyone who’s obsessed with Narcos will be immediately hooked — especially knowing that at the end of the season, Pablo’s going to be dead. Luckily, producers are thinking about continuing the show even after his death. Whether that’ll be worth it to audiences is a whole different story. For now, let’s just all enjoy the sneak peek.
