Twitter: People Use Emoji Most During Primetime

Twitter recently looked into what the most popular emoji were in television tweets, since the Oxford English dictionary made one the word of the year. As of July, around 14 percent of all TV-related tweets contain at least one emoji character, up from 9.8 percent in April, when emojis were first introduced. Here’s what they found:

The laughing face with tears, is the most popular TV emoji.
