The second season premiere of True Detective did well on social media this week, topping the weekly Nielsen Social ratings with 51,000 tweets seen by an audience of 2,187,000. We turned to Canvs to find out whether they were making fun of Vince Vaughn or loving it. Turns out Colin Farrell won the popularity contest. Canvs spokesperson Sheila Seles told us that:
Colin Farrell came out on top, garnering the most emotional reactions and accounting for the show’s top emotional moment. Of the 1,889 reactions credited to Farrell or his character, Ray Velcoro, an impressive 36% expressed love. Hate and crazy reactions to Farrell were nearly tied with 13% and 14%, respectively.
