These Are the Most Followed Broadcast Journalists on Twitter

Muck-Rack-LogoAt this point, most broadcast journalists – whether for the local FOX affiliate station or for CNN – have a Twitter account. Not only does more followers potentially mean more viewers tuning it, but also it allows broadcast journalists to better engage in social journalism. Followers can be a great source of images and videos from the ground (i.e. when Anderson Cooper can’t be in five places at once), and they can provide suggestions for stories that are important to them.

Muck Rack, a community of more than 30,000 journalists, analyzed which broadcast journalists, non-broadcast journalists, and media outlets have the most followers on Twitter. Below, the most followed broadcast journalists on Twitter:

This list probably won’t surprise you as little has changed since our last update; the best way for a journalist to get millions of followers is still to get some serious airtime. There are a few noteworthy additions to the list this year, however, as two broadcasters from India have broken into our Top 10 for the first time.
