Social Scoreboard: Week of May 18

By Adam Flomenbaum

Last week marked the first time ‘Late Show With David Letterman’ topped the weekly Twitter TV ratings; it was also the last. Letterman’s final show drove 201,000 tweets by 105,000 unique authors. With three months before Stephen Colbert takes over, Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel will go head to head in the battle for late-night Twitter supremacy.

Always a must-see event, the 2015 NBA Draft Lottery drove 279,000 tweets by 129,000 unique authors – and the numbers were likely so high this time around because both Los Angeles and New York were in play for top pick. Neither got it, though.

NBC’s ‘Red Now Day’ and ABC’s ‘The Bachelorette’ rounded out the Top 5.
