PBS Dominates Digital Fare Thee Well Coverage

Screen Shot 2015-07-06 at 12.06.32 PMMacy’s Fireworks on NBC and the Grateful Dead’s Fare The Well Tour on Pay-Per-View topped the Nielsen Social ratings over the weekend, with the fireworks driving 30,000 tweets seen by 799,000 people. The Dead’s second night in Chicago garnered 10,000 tweets seen by an audience of 500,000.

Following their long tradition of making a buck while also spreading the tunes, the Fare The Well shows were made available on Pay-Per-View and a livestream on YouTube. But PBS was all over the final shows. PBS, who also made the Nielsen Social ratings with their Capitol 4th broadcast, but they were making Deadheads’ holiday by covering the show on Snapchat, Periscope, and their Facebook page.
