Oscars on Facebook: 21 Million People Had 58 Million Interactions

Last night’s Oscars – by most accounts – was lackluster, and especially so when it came to social-worthy moments (i.e. no Ellen selfie). Still, 21 million people globally had 58 million interactions related to the Oscars on Facebook. On both Facebook and Twitter, the top moment was Lady Gaga’s medley from ‘The Sound of Music.’ Below, the top moments on Facebook from last night, followed by an animation showing how the conversation surrounding the show played out in real time.
