‘Orange Is the New Black’ Meets ‘Arrested Development’

Netflix’s “Orange Is the New Black” returns on Friday with 13 new episodes, and the network posted a video today featuring one of its other popular shows synergizing with OITNB.

“Now the story of a wealthy girl who lost everything, and the one family who had no choice but to help her keep it together,” said the narrator of a YouTube video mimicking “Arrested Development’s” classic show open with images of “OITNB” lead character Piper Chapman and her cast of fellow inmates.

If you remember back, “Arrested Development,” which was resurrected by Netflix after a seven-year absense, had an opening that went like this: “Now the story of a wealthy family who lost everything, and the one son who had no choice but to keep them all together.”
