Twitter Media’s blog has just highlighted why this is important in a move to encourage other big celebs to do the same.
In their blog Twitter Media says that: “When high-profile actors, hosts or broadcasters connect with each other on Twitter, it’s a special treat for fans. Whether humorous, poignant or just plain cool, these moments of serendipity can only happen on Twitter — that’s why we use the hashtag #onlyontwitter to describe these one-of-a-kind conversations.”
Twitter’s future as a media powerhouse is going to depend in large part on the celebrities and journalists that flock to the platform. This will continue to be an important part of their social TV strategy as well.
