Football season announces the change in temperature just like pumpkin spice lattes. People either run screaming or cuddle right up to it. Luckily for the NFL, most viewers have been waiting all summer for kickoff. For Thursday’s regular season kickoff game, Zoomph was monitoring social media platforms to see who and what was driving the conversation. According to Zoomph, there were 98 million tweets and Instagram posts and one billion total social media impressions.
Some of the most influential posts, hashtags, and authors were the NFL teams themselves, which might mean that football fans are too busy to post, but not too busy to repost and retweet top moments.
