MTV completed the fourth version of it’s OMAs, their awards platform targeted towards honoring digital and the web. Last year we participated in the 24-hour bus ride OMAs that ended with the Flaming Lips breaking a record in New Orleans. This year the OMAs once again set to break some recors.
According to the network:
OMA 4 took place in the form of a 24-hour Live Music Day Festival happening across the country. Each of the different areas were broadcasted live, the full 24 hours from OMusicAwards.com: Nashville Stage, LA Stage, Times Square Main Stage, Terrace Stage, “Make a Band Famous” Stage, Cat Stage (not a clerical error – there was a cat cam), plus an overall Main Feed capturing the key moments, and a Control Room cam to get a behind-the-scenes look of all the madness going on

Amazingly, the efforts generated over 500,000 live stream; more than 100 million votes were cast (a new O Music Awards record), more than doubling the votes from O Music Awards 3; 25 million fan impressions on Twitter, including 3 national trending topics; 60 million impressions on Facebook; and even 5K likes on Vine.
