Lady Gaga and Leo’s Awkward Moment Top Golden Globes Consumption

Last night’s Golden Globes generated around 1,400,616 tweets, according to Amobee Brand Intelligence. And while they were pretty uneventful, sentiment was split right down the middle. Forty-five percent positive reactions, 46 neutral reactions, and 9 percent negative. A “meh” isn’t exactly a bad thing, but it’s not great either.

The most tweeted celeb was Lady Gaga, with 141,147 tweets about her during the show. Leonardo DiCaprio generated 74,439 tweets during the same time period. That might be because of their wins, but also because of a meme-worthy moment when Gaga bumps into the actor on her way to the stage:

While the Reveneant, which won for Best Picture was mentioned in 68,184 tweets the Martian’s classification as a comedy was what had people talking:


All in all, it was a good kickoff to winter awards season.
