How to be the best in social TV [videos]

I just finished producing the 5th Annual Shorty Awards, honoring the best on Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, YouTube, Tumblr and more. The entire night brought together social TV from every angle possible. Comedy Central, The CW, ABC Family, CNN, Fox News and Conan were all successful in the Industry Awards competition. TV celebrities were also in full force as well for their use of social media. Here are video highlights that were just launched.

Actress Felicia Day (of Supernatural, Eureka, Geek & Sundry and more) hosted the show. Here’s her intro video about the all access she received in New York as a result of having over a million followers:

Jimmy Kimmel wins the Lifetime Achievement Award:

Pretty Little Liars wins for the best #TVShow on social media for the fan competiton:

Game of Thrones actor Kristian Nairn presented at the Shortys. Nairn who plays Hodor has over 20,000 followers:

Supernatural’s Misha Collins won for the best #Actor on social media. Collin’s charity Random Acts also won the #Charity Shorty Award:

The Face’s Coco Rocha presented the Tumblr category:

VH1’s Carrie Keagan presented as well:

Nerdist and The Talking Dead’s Chris Hardwick presented hilariously with Felicia Day and had an argument about GIF vs JIF. Here he is with an almost too eager fan:

TV actress Tara Strong won the #Actress Shorty Award:
