“HitRecord on TV” with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, which the actor started with his brother online back in 2005 before movies like “500 Days of Summer” and “27 Hours” launched his acting career, premiered over the weekend on Pivot.

“Everything you’re gonna see on this show is made collaboratively by a community of hundreds of thousands of artists from all over the world,” Gordon-Levitt said. “Each episode is going to be revolving around a different theme,” he said, introducing the first show’s theme: the number one.

The show then went on to feature stories from various online contributors sharing their stories on first time experiences. There was also short films created by people online. The episode was available on YouTube in the days before its premiere, attracting over half a million views.Pivot launched last summer, and it is available on most cable carriers. Launched by Participant Media, the channel is geared toward a millennial audience, and also has original shows like”Raising McCain,” a docu-talk series hosted by Meghan McCain exploring issues like bullying, feminism, and sex overload.

In addition to being available on traditional cable, “Pivot” is also second screen friendly: having a live on-demand streaming option via its Pivot app.
