For those who think there’s no longer music on MTV

Yes, MTV is home to hits like Jersey Shore, 16 and Pregnant and most lately BUCKWILD (the premiere episode even beat Jersey Shore’s original debut). For all the critics that claim there’s no more music on MTV, their Artists To Watch program will make you think again.

In honor of the new year, MTV has announced the following.

Every two weeks, MTV will select and then feature a new “Artist to Watch” that spans multiple genres including pop, EDM, hip hop and rock. Each artist will be showcased across MTV’s various television channels (including MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV Hits and MTV Jams), websites (including MTV.com, Artists.MTV, MTV News, MTV Hive) and social networks (including @MTVMTV on FacebookMTV on InstagramMTV on Tumblr).

Tonight we got the chance to check out MTV’s Artists To Watch Zedd, Jessie Ware, Twenty One Pilots and Robert Delong. Here’s Twenty One Pilots performing their song, “Screen.” By the way, if you didn’t already know, MTV President Stephen Friedman will be keynoting Lost Remote’s NYC show on April 24th.
