It’s been a big week for Facebook and Instagram as their push into social TV continues and grows. Here’s a roundup of what you need to know.

TV listing information for people using Facebook on their iOS devices: Facebook will display TV listing information on US primetime TV and movie Pages. Listings will be based on your current time zone and include the channel name, air time and a description of the show or movie playing.  With a large number of people visiting TV and movie Pages on Facebook every day via mobile, listings will make can’t-miss events harder to miss.

CMA Music Festival takes Instagram integration to the next level: This past Monday night, the CMA Music Festival, in partnership with ABC and Mass Relevance – gave viewers the chance to be featured live on-air via their Instagram accounts. According to Mass Relevance CEO Sam Decker, they used Mass Relevance to “drive innovative forms of social engagement in the broadcast, for example by layering in Instagram content from sing-and-dance-til-dawn fans.” To participate, fans simply had to post photos to Instagram using #CMAfest.

Facebook releases new, more granular user metrics:  On Tuesday, Facebook released new metrics: country level monthly and daily active user numbers for both desktop and mobile. For advertisers, this will help to create campaigns that can reach the right people at the right time on both desktop and mobile. This couldn’t be more important for social TV advertising.
