Fans of Starz’s ‘Black Sails:’ Arrrre you ready to go on a treasure hunt?
Ahead of its Season 2 premiere on Saturday, January 24, ‘Black Sails’ has been teasing a treasure hunt across social. Today, Starz is announcing more details about the hunt, which will take place on January 10 in New York and Los Angeles.
Fans must follow @BlkSails_Starz on Twitter to look out for clues, which will lead fans to two treasure chests – each filled with $5,000 (well, ‘gold’ coins that are redeemable for the cash prize). Once fans find the chest, they will be directed to look for a key – if their key unlocks the chest, the money is theirs. Cast members Zach McGowan, Luke Arnold and Jessica Parker Kennedy will be on hand for the reveal of the Los Angeles winner.
The same day of the hunt, there will also be three additional chances to win $500 “Black Sails” – this will be in the form of a Twitter trivia contest.
On January 20, Starz will also be launching a ‘flock to unlock’ initiative, in which fans can tweet to @BlkSails_Starz with the hashtag #TakeWhatsYours in order to unlock the first scene of Season 2.
