photoThe Television Academy, the body that picks the winners for the Emmys held an important mixer yesterday at Facebook’s HQ in NYC. “The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences was founded in 1946 — just one month after network television was born,” according to their website. The Academy’s Interactive Media Peer Group Executive Committee and Governors Seth Shapiro and Marc Johnson attended in an event that was the first in a series of events to highlight winners and remind the social TV world how important their organization is to the future of social media and television. Lost Remote was there to capture the highlights.

The evening included the Governors’ overview of this year’s IMPG plans, an exclusive sneak peek of the next project from the Emmy Award-winning creators of Star Wars Uncut. We look forward to watching the Academy get more and more involved in the social TV world.
