E! and Mass Relevance visualize celebrity 'sizzle' for Globes

By Natan Edelsburg

As everyone awaits the annual Ricky Gervais roast of celebrities, the Golden Globes, you might be wondering which celebrities will be getting it the worst, therefore generating the most buzz. If there’s one thing we know Twitter, Facebook and the social web is good for during awards shows, it’s laughing or oooing at the top moments.

To capture and visualize these moments, E! has teamed up with Mass Relevance for the second time to, “to build awareness and engagement for E!’s ‘Live from the Red Carpet’ coverage.” The new component that will help you know which celebs are heating up the most is their “Heat Gauge,” designed to tell viewers have the most “sizzle,” based on tweets with the #eredcarpet. Viewers will be able to click on a bubble to see the latest tweet about the celeb and toggle between a 24-hour or just the last ten minutes.

You can watch a preview via this clip that E! put together. As awards season heats up it’s good to see social TV heating up along with it.
