The cancelled NBC sitcom “Community” has been picked up by Yahoo! for a 13-episode sixth season. The show had been cancelled by NBC in May, which sparked social activity from fans hoping for its revival on a streaming platform like Netflix, Amazon, or Yahoo.

“I am very pleased that Community will be returning for its predestined sixth season on Yahoo,” the show’s creator Dan Harmon said in a release announcing the deal. ““I look forward to bringing our beloved NBC sitcom to a larger audience by moving it online. I vow to dominate our new competition. Rest easy, Big Bang Theory. Look out, Bang Bus!”

Vulture reports Sony Pictures Television was in talks with Hulu, but the two sides couldn’t agree on financial terms. Yahoo! stepped in offering the right amount, and a deal was struck.

The deal is a huge boon for Yahoo!, as it vies to become more of a player in the growing streaming-TV game.
