Beardless Colbert Builds Anticipation in This Week’s Top 5 Viral TV Clips

By Adam Flomenbaum

5byIn this week’s installment of our partnership with 5by, the video discovery and messaging platform that curates the web’s best viral videos, we take a look at the top five videos of the week from the platform’s TV category. For background on the videos selected, Theo Tabah, 5by’s Head of Content:
Stephen Colbert is taking over The Late Show, and his first video uploaded to Youtube is an awesome Colbert resurrection where he says goodbye to his beard in the best way possible. Even though The Late Show with Stephen Colbert doesn’t air for another three months, he’s already building anticipation.
Jimmy Fallon hasn’t slowed down, and this week he had Ed Sheeran on the show, performing covers of some older heavy metal and some new hip hop. Ed fights to keep a straight face while performing, but still makes Iron Maiden and Ty Dolla $ign sound dreamy.
John Oliver decided to tackle FIFA for a second time after the FBI indicted fourteen members of the organization this past week. Oliver shows no mercy, and specifically targets FIFA’s president, Sepp Blatter (who resigned a few days after this video was released).
Tracy Morgan made is first television appearance in a seriously emotional and heartfelt interview on the Today Show. Since the fatal car crash he was involved in around one year ago, he hasn’t really been in the public eye, and is just focusing on recovering.
Kit Harrington (John Snow), Andy Samberg, Lena Dunham, Will Forte, Fred Armisen, and many more hilarious actors will star in ‘7 Days in Hell’, on HBO this July. The premise is a week long tennis match between two superstars, filmed mockumentary style. Pretty excited to see Kit as someone other than a Game of Thrones character.
