Advanced screening of ‘The Blacklist’ at Comic-Con helps drive positive buzz

The Blacklist, NBC’s new drama with James Spader had a big presence at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego. An advanced screening of the show has earned the network an overwhelming amount of positive buzz as the fall TV season draws closer. Here are this week’s insights from Crimson Hexagon.

  • Around 70% of this week’s posts about “The Blacklist” were general praise and expressions of excitement about the show. The second most talked about topic, however, expressed skepticism of the series.
  • Some social media posts showed enthusiasm for the “The Blacklist” advanced screening shown on June 18 at Comic-Con.
  • Conversation around “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” picked up this week. Several users retweeted a mock “Throwback Thursday” post, saying: “@AgentsofSHIELD #ThrowBackThursday Remember when Coulson died? #CoulsonLives”.
  • Adam Horowitz, executive producer of “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland”, tweeted about the show’s premiere on October 10th, causing a rise in discussion about this show over the past week.
