ABC’s Cold War spy thriller “The Assets” premieres tonight at 10pmET. Our sister-site TVNewser spoke with its co-EP’s about how the 1980’s spy drama is still relevant in 2014.
ABC has been promoting the premiere on social throughout the day, with the real-life CIA agent the show portrays—Sandy Grimes—doing an “Ask Me Anything” interview on Reddit following her “Good Morning America” appearance, as well as a flurry of posts on the show’s Facebook page.
ABC will also be live-tweeting during during tonight’s premiere on @TheAssetsABC, and will continue doing so throughout the limited run eight-part series. Expect a flurry of preview clips, behind the scenes footage, and historical timelines, throughout the show’s run.
