ABC News and Facebook Partner for Election Coverage

By Steve Safran

abc newsABC News will be live throughout Election Day on Tuesday, just not always on its local broadcast channels. The network has announced a partnership with Facebook, which will carry live streams of ABC News anchors and correspondents “at key polling locations and candidate election parties around the country,” according to the network’s press release.

ABC is also going to have a unique setup to hear from the voter-on-the-street:

“Good Morning America” co-anchor Michael Strahan and ABC News correspondent T.J. Holmes will report on the latest polling results and analysis from “Times Square Crossroads,” ABC News and Facebook’s live booth in Times Square that will allow real voters to voice their opinions…

“Times Square Crossroads” is also going to feature the “miniature Oval Office” from Instagram, where people can take a picture and pretend to be the Giant President. (#MiniOval, of course.)

The ABC News livestreams will also be available on the ABCNews.com website and its various OTT apps.
