When Oprah Winfrey told her viewers earlier this week she was just about ready to name her next book club selection, GalleyCat predicted, based on information about the publisher and the price point, and a rough sense of Oprah’s literary sensibilities, it would be All Aunt Hagar’s Children by Edward P. Jones. But the issue is less clear-cut now: David Wroblewski‘s The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, this summer’s big “Hamlet in Wisconsin” novel, is proving to be an increasingly likely candidate for the honor. So much so that perhaps it’s time to put the question before GalleyCat readers, who are in fact much better than GalleyCat editors at reading Oprah’s mind.
