Vinography.Com blogger Alder Yarrow hopes to raise $18,000 on Kickstarter for his art book, The Essence of Wine: Celebrating the Delights of the Palate. Yarrow collaborated with award-winning food photographer Leigh Beisch on this project.
For the first printing, they hope to produce at least 700 copies of the book for the first printing. We’ve embedded a video about the project above. Here’s more from the Kickstarter page:
“The Essence of Wine showcases 47 individual aromas and flavors. Each flavor is lovingly captured in an image, and described in a short essay. I then recommend a number of wines to buy that regularly showcase that particular essence. The book will also contain several essays about some of the more elusive aspects of wine that transcend individual flavors, such as how wine transforms over time.”
