My book of color pick of the day is, Where Did You Sleep Last Night? (FSG). In this memoir, author Danzy Senna and her life of life growing up as a biracial child after a recently overturned Supreme Court ruling on the banning of interracial marriage. But it doesn’t stop there, her parents’ oil and water mix exploded in what was called “the ugliest divorce in Boston’s history”. This story is a testament of how far we’ve come in race relations and how far we need to go.

Danzy Senna is also the author of the novels Caucasia and Symptomatic.
