At The New York Times‘ Motherlode blog, Ophelia Joined the Group Maidens Who Don’t Float: Classic Lit Signs On To Facebook author Sarah Schmelling imagined an interview with the mom in The Cat in the Hat. In Dr. Seuss’ classic kid’s book, the mom disappears while kids while a mischievous cat destroys the house. Here’s an excerpt from the parody interview:
