Wendy McCurdy to Join Kensington as Editorial Director

Wendy McCurdy is joining Kensington Publishing Corp. as editorial director effective August 3. In her new position, McCurdy will acquire, edit and develop authors mostly in women’s fiction and romance. She will report to editor in chief John Scognamiglio.

McCurdy comes to Kensington from her post as executive editor at Berkley Publishing Group.  Prior to working for Berkley, McCurdy was senior editor at Bantam Dell. The new move marks McCurdy’s return to the publishing house, as she worked for Kensington’s Zebra Books in the early 1980’s, when she began her career in publishing.

In her 30 year career she was worked with authors including: Julie James, Madeline Hunter, Wendy Wax, Sara Donati, Jodi Thomas, Mary Balogh, Karen Marie Moning, Amanda Quick, Belva Plain, Janet Chapman, Cleo Coyle, Shana Abe, Betina Krahn and Teresa Medeiros.
