WEbook Introduces Publishing Platform

By Dianna Dilworth

webookOnline writing community WEbook.com is getting into publishing with a new crowd-based publishing program.

Writers can submit manuscripts of books, short stories, essays, and poems to the site to be consider for publication. These works will be read by community readers who will be rate the titles. The books that earn the highest ratings will be flagged for review by a publishing professional. Flagged books will go through five rounds of reviews and WEbook will publish the most popular titles. WEbook will then take care of publishing services including layout, cover design, eBook conversion, print-on-demand, distribution and marketing. The authors will earn 85 percent royalties.

Here is more about how the judging process works from the press release: “The program is fair and anonymous; a reader is unable to search for a specific work or author, preventing biased voting. Those readers who review in high volume will be promoted to Top Scouts and Expert Raters.”
