On The High Line is part guidebook, part architecture history lesson. An enhanced version of the print book On The High Line: Exploring America’s Most Original Park by Annik La Farge, the app tells the story of how the abandoned train line’s transformation into a landscaped park walking readers through the architecture and the plant life. It’s also got restaurant recommendations and tips on where to shop in the area.

The $4.99 app features photos, videos, interactive maps, music and a tool that lets users build their own digital postcards. Soma Rishi, a San Francisco-based digital art book development company, built the app.
