United States senator Kirsten Gillibrand has signed a deal with Random House’s Ballantine Bantam Dell group.
According to Yahoo! Finance, Gillibrand (pictured, via) intends “to write a book that’s both a memoir and a call to action for women and will build upon the goals of her Off the Sidelines political action committee.” The book will contain stories from her childhood, early career path, and experience in Congress.
Attorney Robert Barnett, of Williams & Connolly LLP, negotiated this deal on Gillibrand’s behalf. She will work with a writing collaborator on this project. The publisher plans to release this nonfiction title in fall 2014.
