Twilight Screenwriter Dishes about Breaking Dawn Adaptation

By Jason Boog

breakingdawn23.jpgOver at Popsugar, the Twilight screenwriter spoke about her top secret work on the two-part adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg has worked on all the Twilight adaptations, and had some graphic thoughts about the infamous childbirth scene in Breaking Dawn.

Here’s an excerpt from the interview: “The childbirth–all the scenes, I feel–should be on screen. I think perhaps what I was referring to was, would we actually see Edward’s teeth through the placenta? I don’t think so. I don’t think we need to see that, and if someone needs to see that, I think they should take a look at that. [Laughs.] I believe it will be implied, but I don’t think we’ll see teeth in the placenta.”

As we reported, Academy Award-winning director Bill Condon will direct the two-part vampire adaptation, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. The director has long and varied resume, directing the musical Dreamgirls, the biopic Kinsey, and the horror movie Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh.
